The incident took place on the A-384 road, which connects Arcos with Antequera, at kilometer 65. The collision was a head-on impact between a truck and a delivery van.
Upon the arrival of emergency services, the driver and sole occupant of the van was already outside the vehicle. Paramedics and Local Police were attending to him and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers. Unfortunately, medical professionals could only confirm the death of the accident victim.
The driver of the truck, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was unharmed and appeared to be in good condition. Firefighters at the scene carried out preventive tasks, such as disconnecting the vehicles' batteries and cleaning the road to restore safety.
