On April 18, around 8:00 PM, an accident occurred on the A-373 road, near the Hotel Los Mellis roundabout in Ubrique. A car collided with a parked vehicle, but fortunately, the incident caused no personal injuries.
Upon receiving the alert, three firefighters and two vehicles from the Cádiz Province Fire Consortium (CBPC) from the Ubrique station were dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, the four occupants of the involved vehicle were already out of the car and showed no injuries, thus no medical assistance was required.
The firefighters' intervention focused on securing the area, disconnecting the battery of the damaged vehicle to prevent electrical or fire hazards, and containing any liquid spills. They also cleaned the roadway to ensure traffic safety on this route, which is a common access point to the municipality.
The incident generated momentary attention around the roundabout, a frequently transited area. Once the cleaning operations were completed and the vehicle secured, traffic flow was restored to normal. The exact causes of the collision have not been detailed.
“"The Fire Consortium reminds drivers of the importance of extreme caution, especially near roundabouts and merging areas, where unexpected maneuvers or sudden braking can occur."
