The events took place on Thursday morning when the alleged perpetrator of a completed robbery at a bank in the Cádiz locality used a sawed-off shotgun. Upon exiting the office, he encountered a patrol from the Local Police.
According to the Civil Guard, the robber opened fire on the officers, who returned fire. As a result of the exchange of shots, the individual sustained injuries to his lower body, while one of the local police officers suffered a minor injury from an impact on his bulletproof vest.
“"Subsequently, the Civil Guard confirmed the death of the alleged robber and stated that the judicial police of the Civil Guard of Cádiz have taken charge of the investigation, which will be declared under summary secrecy."
