The event, which aims to find the best chef in the Sierra de Cádiz, will gather 18 chefs and 6 waiters in Grazalema's main square. This second phase of the competition, organized by chef and professor Antonio Orozco, is crucial for participants aspiring to win the ninth edition of the contest.
The day will commence at 10:30 AM with a visit and honey tasting, a sweet prelude before the culinary competition begins from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The judging panel will include renowned chefs Leon Griffioen, Antonio Caramé, Guille Colado, and Edouar Dusa.
Only four participants from each category, Innovation and Tradition, will qualify. The main challenge will be to work with Sierra de Cádiz honey, a local product that will test the contestants' technique, creativity, and ability to surprise.
Beyond the competition, the day will offer a complete experience for the chefs, including the honey tasting and a tour of the town to connect with its environment and culture. Additionally, honey tasting workshops have been organized for local schoolchildren, bringing beekeeping traditions closer to new generations.
The residents of Grazalema are also invited to join this gastronomic celebration, with open tastings for the public to support the chefs on this significant day for their future in the competition.
