The initiative, co-financed with European Next Generation funds, aims to train over 4,200 individuals, divided into two main groups: those over 65 years old and unemployed young people between 18 and 30 years old. Each course will last 20 hours and will be delivered in person in 30 designated municipalities.

The project seeks to improve the employability of young people in rural areas, reduce the digital gap for the elderly, and promote the socioeconomic and sustainable development of the province through active participation in the digital society.

Applications are managed through the electronic headquarters of the Diputación de Cádiz, on a strict first-come, first-served basis. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate of accreditation.

The training content focuses on acquiring basic digital skills to operate confidently in digital environments, interact with public administrations, communicate and conduct transactions securely, and resolve simple problems with electronic applications.

The beneficiary municipalities and autonomous local entities include locations such as Villaluenga, Benaocaz, Zahara de la Sierra, El Gastor, Grazalema, Setenil, Castellar de la Frontera, Alcalá de los Gazules, Algodonales, Olvera, Medina, Vejer, Ubrique, Tarifa, and entities like La Barca de la Florida, El Torno, Guadalcacín, and Facinas, among others.

The 'Edad Digital' project has a total budget of 1,201,780 euros, with a contribution of 375,936 euros from the Diputación and 825,844 euros from Next Generation funds managed by the Regional Government of Andalusia.
