The emergency, activated this Monday at 14:53, has forced the evacuation of residents from nearby homes as well as guests and staff from two hotels. Those affected have been moved to the El Olivar Sports Center to receive assistance.
The firefighting operation involves a large-scale technical deployment. Currently, 12 aerial assets, including helicopters, land-based cargo planes, and amphibious aircraft, are working in the area alongside coordination units.
On the ground, a team of 71 professionals, including forest firefighters, operations technicians, environmental agents, and medical support, is battling the flames with the help of heavy machinery, fire engines, and a mobile meteorological unit.
Operational situation 1 is declared when the scale of the fire requires special civil protection measures, even if the ordinary resources of the Junta de Andalucía are sufficient for control. The Andalusian Emergency Agency advises the public to remain calm and avoid approaching the affected area to facilitate the work of the extinction teams.
