The operation, carried out by agents from the Investigation Area of the Main Post of Arcos de la Frontera, culminated in the discovery of 122 cannabis plants, approximately 1.20 meters tall, inside a residence in the town.
The investigation began several months ago when authorities became aware of potential illicit activity at a home in Espera. Following a thorough inquiry, the exact property housing the plantation was identified, which had security measures in place to hinder police action.
Access to the dwelling was gained through a back entrance, strategically located between the detainee's house and his mother's, a discreet area that, according to investigators, was used to avoid detection during entry and exit. With the appropriate judicial authorization, agents conducted a search and entry on May 7.
During the operation, the illegal connection of the property to public lighting was confirmed, and an indoor plantation in full bloom was discovered. In addition to the plants, a sophisticated electrical infrastructure designed to optimize crop growth, also fraudulently powered, was seized. In another room, a fully equipped space ready to house a new marijuana plantation imminently was found.
The arrested individual, along with the processed documents and the seized drugs, has been placed at the disposal of the Duty Court of Arcos de la Frontera.
