Summer in the Sierra de Cádiz promises to be a time of celebration and gathering in Alcalá del Valle. The municipality has unveiled its festive agenda, designed to offer fun and unique experiences for both residents and visitors, away from crowds and in full connection with the essence of the white villages of Cádiz.
The festivities will kick off on June 20th with the Verbena La Colá, which will include the coronation of ladies, bingo, musical performances by Electro Duende and DJ Mazito, as well as traditional afternoon games like sack races and stilts.
The night of June 23rd to 24th will host the magical Night of San Juan, inviting attendees to bring their 'Juanillo' to burn and ward off bad luck. Following this, June 27th will feature Alcalá Disney.
July will bring the Water Festival on July 10th, with a giant slide and water inflatables in the Town Hall square. On July 11th, the II Pal Sur Festival will offer free music with artists such as Henry Méndez and Estopa tributes. The Vacation Mini-Fair will arrive on July 17th with attractions, stalls, and themed characters, while on July 25th, the III Ibizan Party will be held at the fairgrounds, requiring white attire.
August will begin with the Youth Party on August 1st at the fairgrounds, featuring local DJs and notable performances. The calendar continues with a Flamenco Evening on August 8th, the San Roque Fair and Festivals from August 13th to 16th, and a trip to Aquópolis on August 20th.
The summer celebrations will conclude with the Carnival Night on August 28th in Plaza Fuente Grande, featuring performances by the Trío Carnavalero and local carnival groups. Throughout the months, there will also be competitions for Young Flamenco artists.
