Zatu Rey, one half of the renowned Sevillian group SFDK, has joined forces with two other titans of Spanish rap, Nach and Kase. O, on the track 'Top 3'. This song is part of Kase. O's latest album, 'Camisa de fuerza', released last Friday. Zatu recently shared his part of the music video, filmed in Azuara (Zaragoza), via his Instagram profile, emphasizing the pleasure of creating music together.
The release of the 'Top 3' music video has been accompanied by anecdotes from its filming. Zatu confessed his dislike for shooting music videos due to early mornings, though he highlighted the enjoyable experience. The song's lyrics are a tribute to the loyalty of the fans who have followed these Spanish rap pioneers for decades, through moments of both happiness and vulnerability.
In his verse, Zatu Rey alludes to various groups, including boyfriends, cancer patients, and Andalusian emigrants, who have followed him throughout his career. 'Top 3' marks Kase. O's return to recording after ten years since 'El Círculo', and his album features collaborations with artists such as Hazhe, Violadores del Verso, N-Wise, Evaristo Rmaos, Laura Katze, and AI2.
'Camisa de fuerza' includes 16 songs produced by various artists like Harto Rodríguez, Animoss, R de Rumba, Sabio Beats, and Nico JP. In this work, Javier Ibarra (Kase. O) channels his contradictions through rap, using it as a tool for liberation from uncomfortable thoughts.
The 'Camisa de fuerza' tour will include a stop in Seville on February 13th at the Cartuja Center Cite. There is a possibility that Zatu Rey will join Kase. O for this concert. Tickets are already available on the artist's official website, with prices ranging from 44 to 55 euros.
The Andalusian capital is one of the confirmed cities on the tour, which will visit various Spanish locations including A Coruña, Bilbao, Valladolid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Madrid, Murcia, and Granada.
Kase. O's return coincides with that of SFDK. Recently, Zatu Rey and Acción Sánchez announced they are working on new music, following a temporary hiatus since October 2024. The duo is currently producing a new batch of songs at their recording studio, La Factoría, located in the PISA industrial park in Mairena del Aljarafe.
To mark their 30th anniversary, SFDK received theEncomienda con Placa de la Orden Civil de Alfonso X el Sabio last December, presented by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez. This recognition honors their contribution to music with social commitment and Spanish hip hop, highlighting their work in the urban scene for over three decades.
Furthermore, in June 2024, the mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, awarded them the Giraldillo and the city's flag, as a distinction for their artistic career.
