The Feria del Carmen y de la Sal in San Fernando continues this Wednesday with one of its most popular days: Women's Day. This date is notable for being practically the only one where the festival is experienced and enjoyed during daylight hours, unlike the usual trend of the fair which concentrates at night, especially due to the July heat.
From the early afternoon, the booths are expected to open their doors to honor the protagonists of the day. Gastronomic tastings and live performances will be a draw to attract the public throughout the afternoon.
The coincidence of this celebration with the eve of El Carmen, a local holiday in San Fernando, suggests a larger crowd than usual. The Ayuntamiento de San Fernando has scheduled a concert by Marisol Bizcocho at 10:30 PM in the open-air auditorium, which serves as the Municipal Booth.
Additionally, at midnight, the conventual church of El Carmen will host the Angelus of Felicitación to the Patron Saint, marking the beginning of the main festival day in the town.
