During security operations deployed for the Copa del Rey final in Seville, authorities intercepted objects that have drawn attention due to their sophistication. Among the confiscated material, an item was detected that, according to official sources, had not been seen before in this type of security device.
These are seemingly ordinary caps, but they conceal a rigid material lining inside. This feature transforms them into a kind of disguised helmet, designed to go unnoticed during routine checks and provide protection to the wearer.
“"This finding gives an idea of the degree of preparation of some of these groups and the increasing sophistication of the material used to camouflage defensive or aggressive objects and hinder their detection in ordinary controls."
The detection of such items highlights the increasing complexity in the preparation of certain groups and the evolution of methods used to conceal elements that can be employed for both defense and aggression, making their identification by security forces more challenging.
