The procession will commence at 5:30 PM from the Parish of San Pablo and is expected to conclude at 11:30 PM, coinciding with the feast of the Most Holy Trinity. This celebration keeps alive a deep Marian devotion integral to the neighborhood's identity.
Preparations include a solemn triduum on May 27th, 28th, and 29th at San Pablo, presided over by Father Pablo Márquez Vázquez. On Sunday, May 31st, the feast day of the Most Holy Trinity, the Solemn Principal Service will be held at 12:00 PM, led by José Manuel Llamas Fortes, the confraternity's spiritual director. Additionally, an adoration ceremony (besamanos) will take place from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
As part of the triduum, Sister Milagros López Díaz will deliver an Exaltation of the Most Holy Trinity, accompanied by the Banda Escuela de la Trinidad Sinfónica.
The processional route will traverse emblematic streets such as Plaza de San Pablo, Jara, Tiro, Feijóo, Plaza Paco Márquez, Ribera del Guadalmedina, Trinidad, Malasaña, and San Quintín. A key moment will be the stop at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity around 8:30 PM, where the Virgin will visit the cloistered nuns of the adjacent convent.
The procession will continue through Calzada de la Trinidad, Barrera de la Trinidad, and return to San Pablo via Empedrada and Jara. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the Banda Sinfónica Virgen de la Trinidad.
The devotion to the Virgin of the Trinity dates back to 1934, with the blessing of the first image. The current statue, created by Sevillian sculptor Francisco Buiza Fernández, dates from January 1968.
A milestone in its history was the canonical coronation on October 21, 2000, at the Malaga Cathedral, performed by the then-bishop Antonio Dorado. The crown was designed by the Hermanos Delgado López, and the announcement poster by the renowned Malaga painter Félix Revello de Toro.
This year, the procession gains special significance following the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the canonical coronation. The announcement poster for the 2026 Day of the Trinity was created by José Antonio Jiménez Muñoz.
The festive program will conclude on June 6th with the III Gran Verbena Trinitaria in the Plaza de San Pablo.
This procession reinforces one of the most popular Marian devotions in contemporary Malaga, inseparable from the neighborhood's identity.
