The Andalusian capital is preparing to welcome thousands of visitors to its iconic April Fair, which this year will be accompanied by a significant rise in temperatures. Meteorological predictions suggest a warm front will push thermometers up to 34 degrees Celsius, particularly on the festival's opening day.
The festivities, traditionally held two weeks after Semana Santa, will officially begin at midnight on Monday, April 21. Attendees are advised to take precautions against the intense sun, including using sun cream, as the heat is expected to be a constant during the initial days.
While peak temperatures will gradually subside later in the week, remaining around 27 degrees Celsius, the festive atmosphere is not expected to be dampened. Stable weather conditions are anticipated, with a low chance of isolated thunderstorms towards the end of the week.
This week-long event, deeply rooted in Andalusian history since 1846, promises to be a memorable edition, not only for its tradition and joy but also for the unusual heat that will accompany it from the outset.
