The project involves the installation of 96 new red fabric pieces, designed to replace the previous ones which had deteriorated over time. These items will be displayed in pairs on the masts that traditionally line the route of the celebration in the city.
The design, created by a municipal technician, features on one side the image of Faith, the figure that tops the Custodia of Seville Cathedral. Above this image is the Latin inscription 'Animosa firmat fides praeter rerum ordinem', a verse from the Eucharistic hymn Lauda Sion Salvatorem.
On the reverse side of the banners, which measure 365cm long by 65cm wide, the coat of arms of the Cathedral Chapter of Seville is displayed. Additionally, the inscription 'Turris fortissima Nomen DNI' has been included, a reference to the book of Proverbs also found on the frieze of the Giralda.
These new additions complement the street decorations introduced last year, which feature the city's coat of arms, the figures of Saint Ferdinand, Saint Isidore, and Saint Leander, as well as the famous NO8DO motto.
