The law firm Bidón Abogados, which also serves as the headquarters for the Consulate of the Philippines, inaugurated this significant event. Over the next few days, the congress will take place at the university facilities, bringing together specialists to address the challenges and prospects of Social Security in an increasingly interconnected world.
At the opening ceremony, José Ignacio Bidón y Vigil de Quiñones, head of Bidón Abogados, welcomed the attendees. Also speaking were Antonio Ojeda Avilés, emeritus professor of Labor Law and Social Security of Seville and organizer of the congress, and Enrique Millo, Secretary General for Foreign Action of the Junta de Andalucía, who emphasized the event's importance for Seville.

Among the distinguished guests were Álvaro Pimentel Siles, Deputy Mayor of Seville City Council; Jesús Maeztu, Andalusian Ombudsman; and Miguel Rodríguez Piñero y Bravo Ferrer, former president of the Constitutional Court and current Council of State member. International academics such as Alfredo Villavicencio from the Catholic University of Peru and Italian professor Antonello Olivieri also attended.
Representatives from the Consular Corps of Seville, including consuls from Sweden, Mexico, Guatemala, Iceland, Philippines, Vietnam, and Bolivia, also participated. Following the speeches, a welcome cocktail was offered to the professors, academics, and local and regional authorities.
