Last Sunday, April 19, the Andalusian capital was adorned for one of its most emblematic events: the 40th Harness Exhibition. This spectacle, which began at 12:00 PM, brought together a large number of historic carriages and participants, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated events in the pre-April Fair program.
From 10:00 AM, the harnesses were presented on Adriano Street in a static exhibition, allowing citizens and visitors to admire up close the elegance of these meticulously restored horse-drawn carriages. Subsequently, the event moved inside the Maestranza, where the carriages paraded in motion for approximately two hours, showcasing the skill of the coachmen and the beauty of the ensembles.
“"The exhibition is part of the XII International Traditional Harness Competition ‘City of Seville’, a competition that brings together participants specialized in the conservation and exhibition of these historic vehicles."
This event is part of the ‘Seville, World Harness Capital 2026’ initiative, which commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Real Club de Enganches de Andalucía, the organizing entity. This program has promoted various cultural activities in recent months, including the inauguration in March of the El Collerón Exhibition Hall in the Los Remedios neighborhood.
Sunday's event was the culmination of an intense weekend dedicated to the world of harness. On Saturday, April 18, competitions such as the Spanish Traditional Harness Championship and the Nations Cup Trophy were held, reinforcing the international character of the event and attracting experts and enthusiasts from various countries.
