The Los Remedios neighborhood is gearing up to host the Seville Fair 2026, scheduled from April 20 to 26. This event will transform the city into a vibrant hub for Sevillians and visitors, who will immerse themselves in a festive atmosphere filled with lanterns, music, and tradition.
The fair's official inauguration will begin with the traditional Pescaíto dinner, followed by the highly anticipated Alumbrao. This iconic moment will occur on Monday, April 21, at 00:00 hours, with the simultaneous lighting of the Real de la Feria and its main entrance. In total, over 28,000 LED bulbs will be lit, installed on 30,537 meters of tubing and distributed across more than 6,000 carpentry pieces.
However, activities will start earlier, around 22:00 hours, when attendees will begin to gather under the monumental entrance. The group Raya Real will provide musical entertainment, celebrating nearly four decades of their career.
For those wishing to witness the Alumbrao, several viewing options are available. The most popular is to go directly to the Portada de la Feria, though early arrival is recommended due to large crowds. Another alternative is Calle Asunción in Los Remedios, which offers a clearer view of the entrance and helps avoid congestion.
From the Barriada del Monumento in San Juan de Aznalfarache, a privileged panoramic view of Seville, including the fairgrounds area, can be enjoyed. For those who prefer to watch from home, the event will be broadcast live by Canal Sur and other local channels, as well as through online media coverage.
The main entrance of the Seville April Fair 2026 is an architectural tribute inspired by the Portugal Pavilion from the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 and Carlos V's gazebo in the Real Alcázar. Designed by architect Davide Gambini, this 40-meter high structure features a classic and balanced aesthetic, with a large central tower, two side towers, and five connecting arches. The design commemorates the 500th anniversary of the marriage between Carlos V and Isabel of Portugal.
