The measure, aimed at minimizing the impact of the bad weather on citizens, is in effect from 3:00 PM to 11:59 PM in the Seville countryside. The Sevillian council has indicated that the reopening of these spaces will depend on inspections carried out by municipal technicians once the adverse weather episode concludes.
Municipal resources, including emergency services and maintenance teams, remain activated and prepared to respond to any incidents. The Municipal Sports Institute has also announced the closure of its facilities, which could affect matches scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
“"Once the episode concludes and after the appropriate inspection by technicians, normality will be restored."
In response to the storm, the City Council has issued safety recommendations, such as exercising extreme caution when driving, avoiding areas with trees and metallic structures, and removing objects from balconies and terraces that could fall due to strong gusts of wind.
The AEMET yellow alert is the first level of meteorological warning and is activated when weather phenomena are expected that, while not extreme, could be potentially dangerous. In this specific case, heavy rainfall is anticipated, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms in the Seville countryside.
