This extra volume of operations will be integrated into the airport's regular schedule, which typically handles an average of 185 commercial flights daily. To ensure smooth passenger flow and efficient aircraft operations, a special plan has been implemented, including continuous operation of the facilities during the night of April 18th to 19th.
The busiest days are anticipated to be Saturday, with peak movements between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and Sunday, which will see concentrated activity from early morning. The first additional flight is scheduled to arrive on Friday at 1:45 PM, with progressive arrivals until 9:00 PM.
Most of these extra flights will connect Seville with cities such as Madrid, Vitoria, Pamplona, San Sebastián, and Bilbao. The special operational plan includes reinforcing staff in key areas like passenger assistance and aircraft movement on the airfield.
Furthermore, personnel will be increased in essential services such as cleaning, maintenance, assistance for passengers with reduced mobility, and medical services. Security will also be enhanced, with all eight inspection lanes open at the main checkpoint and two additional ones available at a secondary checkpoint. Catering establishments will extend their operating hours to meet demand.
Finally, the airport will coordinate with all involved parties to manage traffic at the terminal access points, aiming to minimize congestion and ensure a smooth flow for users arriving and departing.
