The club from Seville is not wasting time and, despite not yet having secured their place in the top division, is already planning for the next campaign. Following an initial agreement with a player awaiting a post-World Cup medical examination, the club is exploring other avenues. Contacts have been made with a defender from Getafe and another from Le Havre, as well as with a midfielder.
According to information from a transfer market specialist, two profiles have particularly caught the attention of Sevilla FC: a goalkeeper from Villarreal and a striker. Club sources indicate that, for now, these are merely market options among a broad list of names being considered.
The incorporation of the Villarreal goalkeeper appears to be a more viable option. Sevilla FC plans a thorough overhaul of its goalkeeping department at the end of the season, with two of its current goalkeepers set to depart. The strategy is to sign both a young goalkeeper and one with more experience. The Villarreal goalkeeper, under contract until 2029 but with limited playing time this season, fits the latter profile. His desire for more minutes and the good relationship between the two clubs, strengthened by previous operations, favor the negotiation.
On the other hand, the striker, currently with Al-Gharafa in Qatar, will see his contract expire at the end of the season and will not continue with his current team. With recent experience at clubs like Real Madrid, Espanyol, and Alavés, his intention is to return to European football. Although he has several suitors, including Sevilla FC, his signing appears more complex due to his high salary and the delicate economic situation of the Andalusian club.
The sporting management is handling an extensive list of potential reinforcements, although all operations are contingent on Sevilla FC securing its place in the division, a significant step that could be taken in the upcoming match against Levante.
