The upcoming season is expected to bring significant changes to Sevilla FC, particularly in the goalkeeper position. A near-total renovation is anticipated, with Odysseas Vlachodimos and Orjan Nyland set to leave, barring any major surprises. The future of academy player Alberto Flores also remains uncertain.
The sporting management, led by Antonio Cordón, has already begun efforts to strengthen the squad, although these moves are contingent on securing top-flight status. Among the names strongly linked to the goalkeeping position is Armin Pecsi, a promising young talent born in Austria in 2005, who represents Hungary internationally and currently plays for Liverpool.
Pecsi, an U21 international for Hungary who developed at the Puskás Akademia, stands out for his 1.90-meter height and aerial prowess. Liverpool signed him for two million euros, and due to limited first-team opportunities, the young goalkeeper might seek a move to gain more playing time in European football.
Sevilla aims to replicate the strategy that led to Vlachodimos's loan from Newcastle. However, the Greek goalkeeper's strong performance has attracted interest from his parent club, which may seek a permanent transfer. Meanwhile, Orjan Nyland, whose contract expires on June 30, will not continue at Nervión despite his solid performances for the Norwegian national team.
In addition to Pecsi's potential arrival, the sporting directorate plans to bring in another more experienced goalkeeper. All these movements are contingent on the team securing its place in the First Division.
