A head-on collision between two trucks, reported early this morning, forced the complete closure of the road at kilometer marker 622. The incident led the General Directorate of Traffic to establish a signed detour for drivers via the AP-4 highway.
Emergency services 112 Andalucía received the first calls around 8:30 AM, alerting to the collision and that one of the drivers was trapped inside his vehicle. Paramedics, Firefighters, and the Traffic Civil Guard were dispatched to the scene.
After several hours of work to clear and remove the damaged vehicles, traffic was restored shortly before 3:00 PM, allowing access to Jerez and connection to the province of Sevilla.
