The afternoon of April 19 was dedicated to equestrian bullfighting at the Plaza de la Real Maestranza de Caballería. Following the morning's 40th Edition of the Carriage Exhibition, the Baratillo bullring prepared for the rejoneo, which commenced at 6:30 PM.
Rejoneadores Andy Cartagena, Lea Vicens, and Guillermo H. de Mendoza faced bulls from the El Capea and Carmen Lorenzo ranches. This event marked Cartagena's return to Seville after a decade-long absence, headlining the traditional festivity.
The French female bullfighter also returned to the Sevillian capital after three years, established as a significant figure in equestrian bullfighting and drawing many fans. Meanwhile, the rejoneador from Estella has quickly emerged as a rising star, maintaining a strong connection with Seville, where he received his 'doctorate' in bullfighting.
