The first team of Recreativo de Huelva will face its reserve team, Atlético Onubense, next Wednesday, August 26th, in the morning. This match will serve for the first team to gain minutes and arrive in sufficient rhythm for the first league match, scheduled for ten days later.
The game will be held at pitch 3 of the Ciudad Deportiva Francisco Mendoza and behind closed doors, meaning no fans will be present. This will allow the coaching staff of both teams to make as many changes as they deem appropriate during the match. The artificial turf will help the 'Decano' adapt to the surface they will encounter at the Ciudad de Alcalá, the home ground of Club Atlético Central.
This training match will be the fourth fixture for Galván's team on a pitch they will visit up to eight times this season. The first two, in Punta Umbría against Dos Hermanas and in Lamiya, ended in victories of 3-1 and 0-4 respectively. The last friendly, in Bollullos Par del Condado, resulted in a 1-1 draw against one of the top teams in Group X of Tercera Federación.
For its part, Atlético Onubense will not conclude its pre-season on the 26th. Depending on their schedule, they have two more consecutive friendlies ahead. On Thursday the 27th, they are scheduled to play against Isla Cristina, and on Friday the 28th against CD Moguer, both from División de Honor. Jesús Ortiz's team will also start their league campaign on September 6th, precisely against Bollullos CF.
