The special security operation, involving over 1,600 agents, allowed for the interception of these groups and the discovery of hidden material in buses, cars, and vans, both near La Carlota (Córdoba) and in the Andalusian capital itself.
One of the most significant interventions occurred on the A-4 highway, near La Carlota, where two buses carrying radical fans from Madrid were stopped. In this operation, 91 individuals were identified, and reports were filed for infractions of the Sports Law and the Citizen Security Law.
Inside these vehicles, officers discovered a gun holster, a knife, two chains, paint sprays, a mouthguard, numerous balaclavas, and 51 wooden sticks, some disguised as flagpoles. This preventive action is part of the plan to prevent clashes between violent groups during an event considered high-risk.
Later, in Seville, the National Police continued with identifications and controls of radical fans. In cars and vans, more blunt objects were found, including a box loaded with 95 iron bars. The police report also includes the seizure of 31 flares, 19 flare launchers, two switchblades, a knuckle duster, 12 helmets, pepper spray, and a puncture-proof vest, among other items.
