The Special Employment Center (CEE) of the Jaén City Council organized a plogging event with first-year ESO students from the Andrés de Vandelvira School. Participants successfully removed a total of 34 kilograms of waste from the natural surroundings of Cerro de Santa Catalina.
The activity, promoted through the CEE's Environmental Education Classroom, combined physical exercise with garbage collection in natural spaces as a method of environmental awareness among young people. The route took place on foot along the southern slope of Cerro de Santa Catalina to the recreational area of El Neveral.
The initiative also had the collaboration of the CIMI Las Lagunillas Children's Center, an entity with which the CEE maintains an ongoing relationship through various social and environmental initiatives.
