The coordination between the National Police, the Civil Guard, and the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), along with other state agencies, aims to cover all aspects of security at the event. During the presentation of the plan, an operational demonstration was carried out, including specialized units such as the canine, aerial, and underground units of the National Police, showcasing typical intervention procedures.
The operation is structured around three main pillars: public safety, food safety, and road safety. In terms of public safety, the National Police will deploy approximately 2,000 agents, concentrating their presence in the Real de la Feria. Notable interventions include those by the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) and the cavalry unit, as well as the constant presence of the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR) in high-traffic areas like Calle del Infierno.
This deployment extends to parking areas, the vicinity of the Los Remedios neighborhood, and public transport, with special attention to metro stops. Additionally, 'Operación Albero', with plainclothes judicial police officers, will maintain permanent 24-hour surveillance in the Real. The Civil Guard, for its part, will collaborate in public safety outside the urban core, conducting preventive controls on access roads to prevent the entry of prohibited substances or weapons.
Regarding food safety, daily inspections will be carried out at the fairground entrances, in collaboration with veterinary services and municipal inspectors. Controls on food suppliers will be intensified through Seprona, and fiscal and border service actions will be reinforced to combat tobacco smuggling.
Finally, road safety will be managed by the DGT, which will keep its management center operational 24 hours a day with over a hundred personnel. Traffic will be regulated, access roads will be closed, and mobile information panels will be used to facilitate mobility, especially for carriages. The Civil Guard Traffic Group will conduct alcohol and drug checks in coordination with the DGT.
