The González Byass Winery in Jerez de la Frontera hosted the presentation of the new edition of the book Andalucía Cocina, a Landaluz initiative that pays tribute to the region's culinary diversity through 29 recipes by Andalusian chefs.

Under the title “8 beats of the same heart,” the Andalusian Agri-Food Cluster, Landaluz, gathered over 200 attendees to celebrate the publication. This volume emphasizes the close collaboration between chefs and producers, offering a selection of dishes that highlight creativity and respect for Andalusia's native ingredients.

"Andalusia is not understood from a single perspective, but rather from the eight provinces that shape its unique identity and strong personality. They are eight ways of living, producing, and cooking."

Álvaro Guillén · President of Landaluz
The president of Landaluz, Álvaro Guillén, stressed the uniqueness of each Andalusian province, noting that while each contributes its own gastronomic flair and tradition, all share a “single Andalusian heart.” This collective vision was central to the presentation, which aims to highlight the community's culinary richness.
Representing the Junta de Andalucía, the regional minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development, Ramón Fernández, praised Landaluz as a benchmark in the Andalusian agri-food sector. He highlighted its role as a key promoter of quality certifications and the Gusto del Sur brand, which now includes nearly 240 entities and almost 600 products. Fernández underscored that the publication not only enhances gastronomy but also demonstrates the efforts of producers and companies to strengthen the Andalusian industry.

"Gastronomy is a common vehicle to convey the tradition and knowledge of Andalusia. For Jerez, being the Spanish gastronomic capital is not an end but a beginning because gastronomy is not a complement to tourism but something essential in our city, our culture, and our way of understanding life through three centuries."

Agustín Muñoz · Deputy Mayor of Jerez de la Frontera City Council
For his part, Agustín Muñoz, deputy mayor of the Jerez de la Frontera City Council, emphasized gastronomy's role in transmitting Andalusia's tradition and knowledge. He stated that for Jerez, being the Spanish gastronomic capital is a starting point, as gastronomy is an essential pillar of the city's culture and identity.
The book solidifies its position as a crucial tool for promoting Andalusian products, blending tradition and innovation to recognize the work of those who make the region's agri-food sector great. Attendees at the presentation enjoyed a tour of the González Byass Winery facilities, concluding with a cocktail at its Bodega Real de La Concha, where they sampled products with the authentic taste of Andalusia.
