The Marine Infantry Brigade Tercio de Armada, based in San Fernando, was responsible for organizing and directing the advanced precision shooting exercise named Valiant Shooter. These maneuvers took place at the El Retín training camp in Cádiz, with the aim of enhancing the capabilities of shooters in high-intensity combat scenarios.
The exercise saw the participation of 36 shooters from various units of the Spanish Army, Air and Space Force, the Royal Guard, the Marine Infantry Force of the TEAR from San Fernando, and the Canary Islands Security Unit of the Navy Protection Force (FUPRO). Additionally, allied forces from Italy and US Marine Corps teams from Rota Naval Base joined, highlighting the international nature of the training.
“"These maneuvers offer an unparalleled framework for sharing knowledge, techniques, and procedures, as well as strengthening ties with shooters from other armies and allied nations."
The activities, which ran from April 6 to 13, were primarily conducted at the Barbate training camp. Their execution was supported by resources and personnel from the Spanish Navy, including helicopters from the Tenth and Twelfth Squadrons of the Aircraft Flotilla and the Auxiliary Ship Mar Caribe (A-101). Shooting instructors from the General Albacete y Fuster Marine Infantry School (EIMGAF) and FUPRO also provided crucial support, deemed essential for delving into technical and tactical aspects of precision shooting.
