Food enthusiasts have until this Sunday, May 17, to participate in the Rota mollete route, an initiative that has boosted the culinary offerings of Rota. Ten local establishments have presented their creations, seeking public recognition.
Behind this delicious proposal are the San Antonio bakery and the Cosas de Comé platform, who have promoted this event that began on April 17. Each participant has created a unique version of the mollete, highlighting the versatility of this bread deeply rooted in the area.
Among the options available, one can find varieties such as breaded tuna mollete, pringá mollete, or carrillá mollete, all inspired by the characteristic flavors and products of the city. The initiative aims to strengthen the connection between local produce, hospitality, and Rota's gastronomic identity.
The sandwiches are available during tapas hours, both at midday and in the evening, adapting to each venue's schedule. To vote, diners can access a form via a QR code in the participating establishments, rating each mollete from 1 to 10. The creation with the highest score will be recognized as the winning Rota mollete and may remain on the menu of the winning establishment and in the San Antonio bakery's cafeterias.
In addition to choosing the most representative mollete, voters will be entered into a draw for a basket of Rota products, while the winning establishment will receive a prize in products from the La Rotta group.
