This incorporation is part of a municipal security reinforcement strategy that plans to add 220 additional officers between 2025 and 2027. With this latest group, the total number of new local police officers added during the current year reaches 111.
The local government has indicated that, in addition to expanding the staff, improvements to police infrastructure are underway. Key projects include the renovation of the Local Police Headquarters and the relocation of the Triana/Los Remedios and Macarena stations to new sites at Altadis and the Hogar Virgen de Los Reyes, respectively.
Regarding material resources, an investment of 13 million euros has been completed to modernize the fleet. This renewal includes 149 vehicles, including cars and vans, equipped with defibrillators to improve response capabilities for citizen emergencies.
