The Cádiz-based club announced on Sunday the arrival of Lineros, a defensive reinforcement previously reported by local media on June 13. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Javi Sánchez, who was on the team's target list, has decided to renew with Torre del Mar, thus declining the offer from Balona.
The signing of Lineros marks the fourth acquisition managed by Bindar Sport since they took over the club's operations. This move brings the squad to eight players for the upcoming season in group X of Tercera Federación.
Previously, the club had confirmed the arrivals of winger Justice (Torre del Mar), center-back Paco Benítez (Mijas La Laguna), and full-back Víctor Martínez (Torre del Mar). The continuity of players such as Ismael Martín, Diego Domínguez, and Rubén Olea has also been secured. Conversely, Pedro Morillo, Álvaro Cascajo, and Julio Algar will not be continuing with the team.
Francisco Lineros Torres, born September 21, 2006, plays as a left-back. After training at football schools in Seville and Córdoba, he completed his youth career at CD San Félix. Following a stint with Juventud de Torremolinos, he was loaned to El Palo FC, where he started in 32 league matches last season, accumulating 2,796 minutes despite receiving nine yellow cards and one red.
The young footballer is noted for his speed, anticipation, and individual dueling ability, demonstrating a balance between his offensive and defensive contributions. His signing represents an investment in young talent for the defense.
Regarding Javi Sánchez, the club is now compelled to seek other goalkeeping options. The veteran goalkeeper has chosen to stay with Torre del Mar, a club he helped reach the promotion play-offs last season, due to personal reasons. The coaching staff is already working on signing two other goalkeepers.
