The astronomical facility, located within the eclipse's path of totality, will gather experts to explain the science behind this phenomenon and its significance. The broadcast, available in English via ESA's Web TV and YouTube, will be hosted by space scientist and communicator Maggie Aderin, and will include participation from ESA's Director of Science, Carole Mundell.
In parallel, the ESA is organizing a public observation program in León, in collaboration with the local university and city council. This event will feature outreach talks on solar science and space missions by agency experts, alongside educational activities and connections to the main broadcast.
“"A total solar eclipse is one of those exceptional moments when millions of people can look up at the sky at the same time and feel both awe and curiosity. It is a shared experience that connects us to the Universe and reminds us that the desire to explore and understand is one of humanity's greatest strengths."
This astronomical event promises to be a unique opportunity for scientific outreach and public connection with the cosmos.
