The Minister of the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Sanz, reported on the late closing of several polling stations in the provinces of Seville, Malaga, and Cadiz due to problems recorded during the constitution of their electoral tables. This situation will affect the publication of official results, which cannot be disseminated until 8:43 PM.
The most significant case is that of CEIP Azahares, in Seville East, where the six electoral tables will close at 8:43 PM. Until that moment, the dissemination of official data through the Junta's website and mobile application will be restricted, although the publication of polls will be permitted from 8:00 PM.
Despite these isolated incidents, the Junta de Andalucía maintains that the electoral day is proceeding with normality and tranquility throughout the autonomous community.
Antonio Sanz also highlighted the increase in citizen participation. By 2:00 PM, participation reached 37.2%, which is three points higher than in the 2022 regional elections at the same time. The first update, at 11:30 AM, placed participation at 15.10%.
The provinces of Almería (+4.54 percentage points) and Huelva (+4.52 points) lead the increase in participation compared to 2022. They are followed by Seville and Cadiz (+3.28 points), Granada (+3.27 points), Malaga (+2.68 points), Cordoba (+1.58 points), and Jaen (+1.38 points).
