Teachers and students in several educational centers across Andalusia were surprised this week when digital whiteboards began playing music by the artist Bad Bunny. The song 'Debí tirar más fotos de cuando te tuve' (I should have taken more photos of when I had you) was heard at 10:10 AM, accompanied by a message stating: 'At Irene's request'.
The incident, which occurred for two consecutive days, has impacted schools in the province of Seville, even interrupting an exam. Teaching staff described how the active application window was minimized to allow the music and message to appear. The same happened at the local high school, alongside WiFi connectivity issues.
A similar sequence of events has been reported in the province of Granada, where the message 'At Irene's request' reappeared at the same time. Directors of the affected centers noted they had not yet received an official statement, relying on information shared in director groups and the press.
The Regional Ministry of Educational Development and Vocational Training has confirmed the incident primarily occurred in the provinces of Seville, Cádiz, and Córdoba. Technicians are investigating the causes, which could range from human error by an administrator conducting remote tests to a potential hacking incident. The digital screen supplier's company, with technicians in Canada, is also involved in the analysis.
The Andalusian educational administration has launched an investigation to clarify the malfunction that allowed music and messages to be played during class time and even during exams.
