A severe impact on the AP-4 highway this afternoon has caused traffic chaos, generating jams of up to 3 kilometers on the route towards the province of Cádiz. The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has issued an urgent warning to drivers about the incident, which is disrupting normal traffic flow and causing considerable congestion.
The incident, located in the province of Sevilla, specifically near Las Cabezas de San Juan, is severely affecting traffic flow towards Cádiz. DGT traffic surveillance cameras show a long line of stationary vehicles, paralyzing the right lane of the carriageway.
Traffic patrols from the Guardia Civil de Tráfico and road maintenance crews have been dispatched to the scene to manage the situation. Operators are working to remove the involved vehicles and clear the road, while the high traffic density complicates evacuation efforts and affects both travelers and freight transport.
Emergency services advise extreme caution when approaching kilometer 38 of the highway, maintaining a safe distance, and considering alternative routes such as the National IV road to avoid the traffic collapse.
