The Cádiz town of Jimena de la Frontera is preparing to celebrate its August fair with an event that has become a classic, turning its streets into an improvised water park. On August 15th, Sevilla street will host a massive 100-meter-long giant water slide.
This activity, which attracts hundreds of people each year, offers a refreshing and fun experience for both children and adults. Starting at 12:00 PM, the central street will be filled with water, laughter, and splashes, solidifying its status as one of the most viral images of the summer in the Campo de Gibraltar region.
What began as an original initiative has become an unmissable date on the local festive calendar. Many visitors take advantage of the day to come to Jimena and enjoy the slide, as well as the fair atmosphere that fills the municipality during those days, combating the high August temperatures.
The return of the giant slide is part of an intense summer program organized by the City Council, which includes concerts, cultural activities, and shows. Municipal officials encourage residents and visitors alike not to miss this event that promises to fill the emblematic Sevilla street with fun, speed, and water.
