The Popular Party of Andalusia has finalized its electoral lists for the May 17 elections, appointing seven members of the current Andalusian Government Council as provincial head candidates, including Patricia del Pozo for Seville.

The PP of Andalusia's Electoral Committee has formally approved the candidacies for all eight provinces, marking the beginning of the official registration period. This strategy reflects President Juanma Moreno's intention to highlight his government's management as a core element of his electoral platform, aiming to secure the absolute majority achieved in June 2022.
The composition of the lists emphasizes continuity and experience, with six current ministers taking provincial leadership roles. Juanma Moreno will once again head the list for Málaga. In Seville, the Minister of Culture, Patricia del Pozo, will repeat as the number one candidate. Other ministers leading candidacies include Ramón Fernández-Pacheco for Almería, Antonio Sanz for Cádiz, Rocío Díaz for Granada, Loles López Gabarro for Huelva, and Catalina García for Jaén.
The sole exception to this rule is Antonio Repullo, the party's general secretary and a key figure in the Andalusian PP's regional structure, who will lead the list for Córdoba. Although not currently a minister, Repullo served as the Junta's Government delegate in Córdoba during the previous legislature, underscoring the party's commitment to profiles with public administration experience.

"The diligence with which the PP of Andalusia has resolved this very important process represents another demonstration of the unity, serenity, and stability that reigns within the PP of Andalusia, which is the same as that displayed by our autonomous community."

Antonio Sanz · President of the PP of Andalusia's Electoral Committee
A notable aspect of these candidacies is the gender balance, with four women and four men leading the lists, a change from the composition four years ago. The renewal is significant, with changes in six of the eight provinces, demonstrating a strategy of adaptation and team strengthening ahead of the upcoming elections.
