Despite an improvement in the fire's evolution and a favorable wind shift, the blaze has crossed the provincial boundary and entered the province of Seville. The entry occurred lightly in the municipality of El Madroño, according to regional emergency coordination sources.
The municipality of El Madroño and four nearby hamlets (El Álamo, Juan Antón, Juan Gallego, and Villagordo) have been evacuated since Monday. Approximately thirty residents have been rehoused with family or at the Active Participation Center in El Castillo de las Guardas.
The fire, which now spans 25,000 hectares with several open fronts, has led to the fire's entry into Seville due to wind changes and difficult terrain. In total, 286 registered residents live in the affected homes.
Currently, no further evacuations are planned in the province of Seville, but the municipality of Anzalcóllar is on alert due to the fire's proximity and smoke, which has necessitated measures like moving livestock to safe locations and advising residents to close doors and windows.
Four roads in the province of Seville remain closed to traffic: the SE-6400, SE-6402, SE-5400, and SE-538.
Firefighters from the Consortium for Prevention, Extinction of Fires, and Rescue of the Province of Seville, along with over 600 professionals coordinated by the Regional Government of Andalusia and the central government, are working in the area. Nine firefighters with three heavy rural fire engines are operating between El Madroño and El Berrocal to prevent the fire from reigniting in unburnt fuel areas.
