El Granado, in the province of Huelva, became one of the hottest spots in Andalusia this Monday, according to data from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). The town recorded a maximum of 40.8 degrees Celsius at 5:10 PM.
The highest temperature of the day was recorded in Montoro, Córdoba, with 40.9 degrees Celsius. This was followed by Andújar, Jaén, with 40.7 degrees Celsius, and two locations in Córdoba: the provincial airport with 40.1 degrees Celsius and Fuente Palmera with a maximum of 39.9 degrees Celsius.
In contrast, two municipalities in Huelva were among the five locations with the lowest minimum temperatures. Almonte registered 14 degrees Celsius at 6:50 AM, and Aroche recorded 14.2 degrees Celsius at 7:30 AM.
The lowest temperatures were observed in the Sierra Nevada National Park, where Camarate 2 dropped to 12.3 degrees Celsius at 6:30 AM. Cañar registered 14.6 degrees Celsius, and Cazalla de la Sierra, in Seville, recorded a minimum of 16.1 degrees Celsius at 7:10 AM.
