The facilities, covering over 1,200 square meters, were visited by the Minister of Health, Presidency, and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, who confirmed the progress of the work and the planned schedule. The opening will put an end to a community demand dating back to 2003.
The project's reactivation involved modifications to key elements such as the electrical transformation system and fire protection measures, increasing the budget by approximately 500,000 euros. The Andalusian Health Service (SAS) plans to receive the building in early September for its equipping.
The new center will feature ten consultation rooms, a diagnostic and therapeutic procedures room, a pediatrics consultation room, a breastfeeding room, areas for healthcare staff and social work, as well as a comprehensive emergency area. Staffing will include family doctors, nurses, pediatricians, a midwife, and support personnel.
This initiative is part of the Junta de Andalucía's Health Infrastructure Plan, which has allocated 171 million euros to the province of Sevilla and over 2.8 billion euros across Andalusia since 2019 for the construction of 107 new health infrastructures.
