The situation in the province of Sevilla has been exacerbated by adverse weather conditions. In Guillena, the fire is affecting the vicinity of the Mundo Park zoo, which has closed its facilities as a precaution to ensure safety, although no material damage or risks to the animals have been reported.
Meanwhile, in the La Chimenea area, within the municipality of Villanueva del Río y Minas, a team of 18 professionals supported by four aerial assets is working on extinction efforts. Simultaneously, in Morón de la Frontera, the deployment includes six helicopters and various ground teams to attempt to halt the spread of the flames.
These events coincide with a heatwave alert affecting much of Andalucía. The Andalucía Emergency Agency has urged the public to exercise extreme caution in the face of orange warnings for temperatures that could reach 40 degrees, recommending constant hydration and avoiding sun exposure during the central hours of the day.
