The circulation of medium-distance trains on the Seville-Cadiz and Seville-Malaga routes, as well as several commuter lines in Seville, has been interrupted since early this morning. The incident is due to the derailment of a maintenance machine.
According to the Administrator of Railway Infrastructures (ADIF), as reported on its social media channels, the incident has caused the suspension of service between the stations of Seville-Santa Justa and La Salud.
The affected commuter lines are C1, C4, and C5 of the Seville network. Additionally, medium-distance trains operating on conventional gauge between Seville and Cadiz, and between Seville and Malaga, have been impacted.
ADIF has announced that efforts are underway to restore rail traffic as soon as possible.
