The central administration has requested detailed information on the installation of infrastructure, such as wiring and lighting systems, due to concerns over potential damage to protected elements of the architectural complex, including flooring and ceramic benches. This request follows reports regarding the drafting of a new municipal ordinance to regulate the use of this iconic space.
In response, Seville City Council has emphasized that authorizations for temporary activities are granted in compliance with current sectoral regulations. The local government has asserted that supervision and control mechanisms are in place during assembly and dismantling processes, noting in technical reports that incidents recorded in previous editions were minor and have been resolved.
The City Council clarified that the upcoming ordinance, currently under development, focuses on areas under municipal ownership. However, it has expressed its willingness to cooperate with the Ministry of Culture and to submit the project to relevant authorities during the initial approval phase to ensure the proper conservation of the monument.
