The Seville-based team completes its sporting project with the arrival of Rafa García Salamé, a 26-year-old, 1.87-meter point guard from Granada, and Javier Valero, from CB Alcalá, who will be integrated into the dynamics of the first team coached by Juani Díez.
García Salamé arrives in Seville after a notable campaign with the Spanish Basketball Academy, where he averaged 12.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. The Granada-born point guard previously faced Caja 87 in the semifinals for promotion to Primera FEB.
Developed in the youth academies of Fundación CB Granada and Unicaja, García Salamé has played for teams such as Villa de Mieres, Obradoiro (where he debuted in Liga Endesa), Gran Canaria's reserve team, Bahía San Agustín, and Huelva La Luz. With the latter, he competed against Caja 87 in the 2024/25 season, before joining CB Morón and now the Caja project.
Meanwhile, Javier Valero joins the project through a collaboration agreement with CB Alcalá. Although he will have a reserve team contract, he will be fully integrated into the daily dynamics of Insolac Caja 87.
The club has also announced the departure of Matija Bilalovic, who scored the club's first official basket. After two seasons, the Croatian player and the club have agreed to end their contractual relationship.
The enthusiasm surrounding the Seville project is reflected in the season ticket holder numbers, which have surpassed 3,500 for the historic debut in Primera FEB, breaking the club's record. The team will begin preseason tomorrow with medical examinations.
