The Bahía Sound festival, now an essential summer event in the province, drew a large and varied audience to San Fernando. The musical program, lasting six hours, included performances by Mario Díaz, Chambao, La Tarambana, Orishas, and Eskorzo, filling the venue.
The musical day began before 8 PM. Mario Díaz, former member of Aslándticos, kicked off the lineup with his flamenco-infused pop, warming up the crowd. He was followed by Chambao, led by La Mari, who celebrated their 25th anniversary with hits like 'Es para ti' and 'Playas de Barbate', the latter performed with Salistre. The show featured collaborations with María la del Tango, Marta Robles, and María La Mónica, along with acknowledgments to SFDK and Estopa via recordings and representations.
After Chambao, La Tarambana, Daniel Quiñones's project, delivered their characteristic style. Subsequently, Orishas transported the audience to Havana with their fusion of Cuban music and urban rhythms, highlighting the cultural ties between Cádiz and Cuba. They performed major hits like 'Represent' and 'A lo cubano', and paid tribute to Pau Donés with 'La Flaca'.
The night concluded with Eskorzo's performance, celebrating their 30th anniversary. The Granada-based band, with their colorful style blending funk, ska, and Latin sounds, revisited hits such as 'Suave' and 'Cumbia caníbal'. The Bahía Sound festival will continue on September 18th with a concert by Niña Pastori.
