The Ministry of University, Research and Innovation has completed the distribution of resources for the Andalusian public university system. Of this amount, the University of Seville (US) will receive 436.63 million euros, representing an increase of 4.88% compared to the initial allocation in 2024, adding an additional 20.3 million.
Meanwhile, Pablo de Olavide University (UPO) will receive an allocation of 82.99 million euros. This figure represents a 5.18% increase compared to the previous year, translating into a rise of 4.08 million euros. The UPO is positioned as one of the Andalusian public universities with the highest percentage growth in its funding.
These funds also include specific allocations for staff remuneration supplements. For Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) and Technical, Management, and Services Staff (PTGAS), over one million euros will be allocated to the UPO and 6.25 million to the US. Additionally, 9.83 million for the US and 1.74 million for the UPO are included to guarantee the 2.5% salary increase agreed upon by the central Government for public employees.
Regarding investments and infrastructure, and pending approval from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, 5.31 million euros have been authorized for the University of Seville and 1.51 million for Pablo de Olavide University.
