The Ministry of Health has officially released the announcement for selection tests to access Specialized Health Training positions in 2027. Andalusia will have a total of 2,068 positions available for graduates in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Psychology, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. Nationally, the offer reaches 12,850 positions, an increase of 484 positions compared to the previous year, representing a 3.9% rise.
Since 2018, there has been a cumulative increase of 4,448 positions, a growth of 53%. This expansion aligns with the Ministry of Health's commitment to specialized training for healthcare professionals, as stated in a government press release. The national distribution includes 9,676 positions for Medicine (MIR), 2,341 for Nursing (EIR), 377 for Pharmacy, and 293 for Psychology.
The application period for interested candidates will run from September 1 to September 14, 2026, inclusive, using the official Form 790. The entrance examination is scheduled for Saturday, January 23, 2027, commencing at 2:00 PM Peninsular time.
The exam will consist of a 200-question test, plus ten reserve questions, each with four response options, only one of which is correct. The total duration of the exercise will be four and a half hours. Tests will be conducted in various Spanish cities, including A Coruña, Albacete, Alicante, Asturias, Badajoz, Barcelona, Bizkaia, Cádiz, Cáceres, Cantabria, Granada, Illes Balears, La Rioja, Las Palmas, León, Madrid, Málaga, Murcia, Navarra, Pontevedra, Salamanca, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Sevilla, Valencia, Valladolid, and Zaragoza. The inclusion of Vigo addresses recent requests.
During the tests, the possession or use of any device that facilitates communication or access to electronic networks is strictly prohibited. The use of prohibited materials or any attempt to circumvent control measures will be considered fraudulent conduct, leading to the annulment of the exam and exclusion from the selection process.
Similar to previous calls, the selection of positions will be carried out electronically or in person. Candidates who do not secure a position in the ordinary allocation may participate in an extraordinary procedure via electronic means. Should any positions remain vacant after this allocation, a final extraordinary call will be made by the Directorate of Professional Planning, to be conducted exclusively electronically.
