The Andalusian Employment Service has urgently published the offer for 114 forest agent positions. The application period will be extremely short, running only from June 23rd to 25th, 2026.
The primary duties of these forest agents will include the surveillance and protection of Andalusia's forests and natural spaces. They will also actively collaborate in preventing forest fires and responding to environmental emergencies.
The contracts will be for two years, full-time. Tasks will focus on maintaining Infoca operational infrastructure, early detection of forest fires, initial attack on incipient blazes until specialist teams arrive, and other tasks related to natural resource conservation.
The positions will be distributed across the eight Andalusian provinces: Seville will receive 26 posts, Granada 21, Jaén 18, Huelva 13, Córdoba 13, Almería 7, Málaga 5, and Cádiz 3. Applicants must be registered as job seekers with the Public Employment Services.
To be eligible for these positions, candidates must have a level of education equivalent to Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and hold a type B driving license. All specific details are available in the job offer published by the regional government.
Andalusia is currently in its high-risk forest fire season, which began in early June and will extend until October 15th. During this period, all restrictions associated with the high risk of forest fires will be in effect. The director of the Forest Fire Emergency Plan for Andalusia, Antonio Sanz, noted that the start of this season occurs with 1,089 hectares already burned, a figure nearly double that of the previous year at the same time.
