The intervention, with an execution period of 10 months, is being carried out by the company Construcciones Josame, which was awarded the contract. This second phase focuses on sections of Sierra de las Nieves street and Sierra Hidalga street, continuing from the first phase that already involved an investment of €330,000 in another part of the Sierra de las Nieves road.
The works will include the complete renovation of the roads, addressing sanitation, water supply, internet infrastructure, rainwater drainage, asphalt, and sidewalks to improve accessibility. The mayor of Ronda, Mari Paz Fernández, highlighted that this urbanization, dating back to the eighties, required these actions due to the age of its streets.
With these two phases, the total investment in the Cerro del Almendro urbanization exceeds €800,000, with a total of four phases planned. Concurrently, these works also aim to resolve the historical water supply issues that have affected the area.
